Perf-a-Lawn is a family owned and operated lawn care company providing professional lawn care service and customer satisfaction since 1980. With over 44 years of experience and expertise, Perf-a-Lawn, Inc. and its branches have grown to over 10,000 customers throughout the Erie & Pittsburgh, PA and Buffalo, NY areas. We are looking for hardworking people with a can-do attitude!
We offer paid training for every technician at the start of every season. There is plenty of room to grow your responsibilities here at Perf-a-Lawn! The company will pay for any and all additional state certifications offered by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. Knowledge and understanding is key to providing professional turf management and high-caliber customer service. Our goal is to make work as tolerable as possible, and dare we say—enjoyable! We look to educate both our employees and our customers about what we do and how we do it throughout every lawn care season.
In the off-season we work to complete state-required continuing education courses, along with aiding as many employees as possible in studying and passing additional pesticide licensure. Both our office staff and field staff possess Pennsylvania Pesticide licenses in varying categories—however, each department holds a number of employees that specialized in Section 07 Lawn and Turf. Tree & Shrub Technician
This position requires experience in insect control and fertilization with respect to trees and shrubs. Applicant must hold a Department of Agriculture license in Section 06 Ornamental and Shade Trees or be willing to study and pass this exam. Lawn Care Technician
Seeking full-time technicians with career development opportunities—if you work hard for us, we will work hard to take care of you! Perf-A-Lawn technicians receive ongoing training in lawn care maintenance techniques including fertilization, plant, and pest/disease identification. Typical days include obtaining a route list of lawns to treat, driving a company truck (must pass a driver’s questionnaire) to the respective lawns via GPS navigation, effectively applying treatments to our customers’ lawns, noting the invoice with any suggestions, and placing the invoice on the customers front door. Rinse & repeat. As an employee, you will receive paid training as well as educational opportunities to acquire and maintain state licensing which allows for more growth within the company.

Customer Relations Position
We are seeking a quick-learning full-time customer relations representative. You will field customer calls and schedule them for service calls or additional services as necessary. We will train you! With thousands of customers there are a number of incoming phone calls throughout the day. However, we do not require outgoing sales calls—we will never give you a list of customers to call and upsell to. Our goal in the office is to accommodate the customer and educate them as much as possible. There is room to grow! We offer a 3% match retirement plan and offer health and dental insurance.

I am very pleased with Perf-A-Lawn. I have used them for a few years and until this summer, I never had any issues. This summer my grass was doing very poorly and they determined I had some sort of mold (or something like that) and they did a special treatment and it now looks great. They even came back free of charge to make sure the special treatment was working. Great company.
